Hallowe'en Make-Up Look - Cracked Porcelain Doll

This was the creepiest look i've ever created in my own opinion. Everything about it just screams WEIRDNESS.

Firstly I coloured my face white with face paint and drew a black cracked effect with a small brush and black face paint.

For my eyes I used a white eyeliner to create a wider water line, this will emphasize the doll-like look. On the top of the lid (which is covered by huge freakin' eyelashes) I drew a fancy cat-eye effect which looked like false eye lashes. This can be used if you are allergic to lash glue or you don't have a pair nearby. I used a thinner pair of eye lashes on the lower lids to increase the size of my eyes and enhance the doll-like effect.

For my lips I used the dame white face paint and covered up the two edges of my lips, this will help shape my lips into a pointed heart shape, then I filled this space in with red lip stain and a MAC red lip stick.

I finished the look off with editing my eyes (you can use contacts) and I put a red bow in my hair, try and match the bow with your lip stick to complete the whole look.

Hallowe'en Make Up Look - The Tin Man, Inspired by MAC

I was searching through the internet all day, looking for inspiration... FINALLY I found a face chart that MAC created back in 2008 for Hallowe'en. It had a metal sheeting effect which i've slightly adapted but not much so that it looks like The Tin Man from The Wizard Of Oz.

Like the face chart I tried to map out a sheet effect and I used metallic shades so that I could make it look as realistic as possible.

I added some screws for detail and filled my lips in with a black lipstick and overlaid it with silver eye shadow for a metallic effect.

Lastly I edited my eyes to give a colder more robotic look. This is supposed to be the Tin Man before he got his heart <3

Product Review: Avon Mega Effects Mascara

I recently was reading through the Avon book and there was a huge promotion for this mascara because it looks soooo frickin' weird. But we'll get to that later, the packaging is very strange since most of us are used to a mascara tube this is very odd to have in your bag.
The applicator is very different to any other mascara i've seen, the weirdest next to this one was the fuzzy ball applicator that L'Oreal brought out a couple of years ago.

This is used much like a type of heated eye lash curler, and to be honest I really like this product, mostly because of how strange it is.

The formula is very good and it comes out very black.

Overall I'd say this was amazing, it's weird, funny shaped, the formula is good and it's only £10 so it would be a 5/5 *****

Winter Skin Care Tip Of The Day - Sunscreen!

Despite popular belief that sunscreen should only be worn on very hot days in Summer, this isn't exactly true as you can still cause your skin harm during Autumn and Winter by exposing it to the sun. It is advisable that sunscreen, BB cream or foundation with SPF 15 should be worn through these months as the exposure to the sun during this time is just as harmful as during the warmer months.

Your lips should also be protected to with an SPF 15 lip balm/moisturizer, this will stop them from cracking quicker than a non-SPF product.

There are a few brands which have sun block ingredients, such as: No7, Benefit, Lip Protection and Clarins.

Hallowe'en Make-Up Look: Cosplay Variation

This was a random creation, I wanted something that could be adapted for any kind of Cosplay or even everyday if it's toned down.

I kept the look very pastel with only a few strong tones which help enhance the look and make it bolder.
I used a matte baby blue shade and a matte pastel purple mixed with a neon purple to create the eyebrow and eyelid look. This look is very blended which gives it a softer effect.

I used Inglot's Gel Eyeliner (which I reviewed already) on my lid, and then I winged it out into a cat eye effect. I felt like it really completed the look and brought it together better.

These are my nails which I done for the look as well, they are very Kawaii which I LOVE! Since i'm a huge fan of anything Japanese.

Included on the nails is a cupcake, an ice cream, a lollipop, a sweetie and a cute little bear.

Hallowe'en Make Up Look: Geisha

I tried to be very subtle with the make up I used here as a Geisha is very understated yet bold.

I used pink for my lips and outer eye-shadow as it resembles cherry blossoms which are popular in Asia. I enhanced this my putting a shimmer purple shade under my inner eye

I lined my eyes to change my eye shape and almost mimic a narrower eye.

For my face make-up I bought a white Snazaroo costume make-up cream so that I could highlight the pale powdered face of a Geisha.

The lips were done with a ombre effect with a neon pink and matte purple. I was going to do the traditional narrow lip paint look but I felt it looked too outdated.

Product Review: Inglot Gel Liners - Number 71 (Light Lilac)

OHH MY GOD! This is by far the best gel liner I have ever bought.

Recently I went to a different shopping centre and found an Inglot Store, which is possibly the best thing that could have happened to Scotland.

All the colours are super pigmented and have long wear in them.

This is shade 71 ( Yeah I know, no actual names for the shades makes this a little more annoying but oh well... ). I love this colour, it's a pigmented violet/lilac which would actually be considered a mild neon shade.

The size of the pot is larger than average and the product goes really far instead of using a lot of it, which means it will last a lonnnng time.

Product Review: Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner Pencil - Deep End

This is one of my mannnnnyyy Urban Decay 24/7 Pencils, I have an obsession with these because their formula and long lasting wear are completely amazing.

Deep End is from the new collection like Freak, which i've made a review on all ready. I love blue/green ocean shades because I think they work well for my eyes personally. But this is just gorgeous.

This is a very shimmer shade but could also be considered metallic? I suppose. Like I said before the formula is long lasting and can even last through your sleep (falling asleep with make-up on, is my constant fail haha). It is also fairly waterproof if you get caught in the rain or something, but I doubt it would last in a swimming pool.

Overall I love this pencil and all of the others as well the price is a little steep at £14 but the quality is definitely there.

Product Review: Sleek New Skin Revive Liquid Foundation

I recently bought this because I ran out of my No7 Foundation that I got to match my skin tone, however I thought this had potential since the tones are varied well.

I believe this shade is Ivory Rose, which is the palest in the collection and since i'm near enough a ghost, this was the perfect shade for me.

It applies really well with brushes and with your hands, I usually apply with my hands and then use a sponge to make it even.

The formula is good and isn't very shiny, however if you are prone to oily skin I would recommend using a finishing powder to set it into a matte finish.

I would give it 4/5 Stars **** Since it works well on my skin.

Hallowe'en/Everyday Make-Up Look 4: Pin Up Girl/1950s Girl

I usually wear my make-up like this anyway because I think it frames my face well. However I made this a little bolder for the camera and also if it's for Hallowe'en you'll want to make a statement.

I used white and cream eye shadows for the main lid colour and I contoured this with a matte taupe shade. My liquid eye liner was applied quite thick and I made a cat eye effect with this.

The red lips are a statement of the 1950's so it was appropriate to include them, plus they complete the look perfectly.

Hallowe'en Make-Up Look 3: Pikachu from Pokemon

PIKACHU!!!

I had to do this make-up look it was just so fun and perfect for anyone who is dressing up without getting a proper costume.

I used a bright yellow eye shadow over my lid and shaped it into a wing, I then coloured the end of the wing black making it look like Pikachu's ears.

The inner corners of my lids were coloured a deep brown which highlight the base of Pikachu's tail.

I used a deep red shade on my lips to highlight Pikachu's cheek colour and also on my water liner.

Hallowe'en Make-Up Look 2: Pop Art Inspired

This is my Pop Art Inspired Make-Up Look which was influenced by the 1950s comic art which is still focused on today.

I coloured my face an off-white colour and painted small red dots in an organised fashion over my face.

I used a bold yellow as my lid colour, making it as bold as possible and then drew a small blue tear drop on my cheek.

The lips were outlined with black liquid liner and filled in with a red lip stick. I created the white shine on my lips with white eye shadow and finished off with filling in my brows.

Hallowe'en Make-Up Look 1: Sugar Skull

Since Hallowe'en is coming up I decided to try some make-up looks for it... Sooooo this is my number one!

Sugar Skulls are used for the Mexican Holiday - Day of the Dead and are used to adorn altars and can be eaten like a cookie type thing.

Each Sugar skull can be done however you like as there really isn't a set way to create them.

For mine I used a bright neon pink and a deep purple for contouring, I then surrounded the eyes with twists to create a pattern.

The lips have been coloured using a deep purple lip stick which I covered in lilac metallic eye shadow.

The rest of the look was made up of basic lines and shapes which can be altered to suit the person creating the look.

Seasons Inspired Make Up Looks!

 Spring

For this look I stayed with pastel colours and focused on the floral aspect of Spring.

I created small blue flowers which shaped my eye and also used a metallic blue eyeliner to highlight them.

The lashes are from Paperself Lashes and are called Peacock
Summer

I gained inspiration for this look by thinking of beaches and the ocean.

I kept this look very blended out with Blues, Yellows and Oranges which I think highlight summer perfectly.

Autumn

I loved doing this look as Autumn is my favorite season.

I wanted to keep this look very vampy and also wearable if you are a bold enough person to wear it.

I started with a green on the inner corners to show a transition of seasons, I then faded this out into golds, oranges and burgundy which are the basic Fall colours.

For the lips I done an ombre effect with a deep purple and black lip stick.
Winter

This was super fun to create, I love playing around with various blue shades.

I tried to keep all my shades frosty or shimmery except my contour colour which was easier to blend as it was matte.

Alien Inspired Make-Up Look!

I was asked on Facebook to try this look out and I was pretty hesitant because I thought it would be really difficult... It was haha!

Liquid eyeliner was not my friend tonight, but I think I pulled it off enough for it to look like the aliens in the movie.

I used a few products, such as:
Urban Decay 24/7 Pencil Eyeliner - Flipside
Urban Decay Book Of Shadows - Alice
Fraulein 3'8 Palette - Jelly Matte
Soap and Glory - Liquid Eyeliner

Overall the look turned out how I wanted it, like I said it is only inspired so it's not supposed to look entirely like the really thing.

The Seven Deadly Sins & Virtues: Greed & Charity

This is my final Seven Deadly Sins & Heavenly Virtues Make-Up Look: Greed & Charity! Thank gooooodness it is finally done haha!

Greed - Greed is the need for material possessions or material wealth.

I loved this look and tried to incorporate man's worst form of greed in my opinion - Gambling. Drawing the playing cards and poker chips was sooo difficult put hopefully I pulled it off for you guys!

I used the traditional green and gold so that the look revolves around money

This is the second half of my look: Charity!

Charity - Generosity. Willingness to give.

I was stumped on this look for a long time but I figured that I would try to imitate the British Heart Foundation logo :)

This is a charity that is close to my heart and one that I often visit therefore it seemed appropriate!

The Seven Deadly Sins & Virtues: Sloth & Diligence

Diligence - Alertness, To be Exact, Motivated.

I chose a very citrus look for my make-up because I wanted it to look as fresh as possible!

The mixture of bright yellow and lime green brings a pop to the eyes, making it the complete opposite of Sloth.

I used my new Fraulein 3'8 Palette - Jelly Matte
Sloth - Sadness, Laziness, Depression, Unmotivated.

I tried to create a decaying look, or a look that says " I've been asleep with my make-up on for a thousand years" .. haha!

All in all I love the purple, blue and black eye shadows that highlights sadness and depression which really goes with this look.

The Seven Deadly Sins & Heavenly Virtues: Gluttony & Temperance

This is my new make-up look Gluttony and Temperance! I was pretty excited for this one.

Gluttony - Over indulgences of anything to the extreme.

I wanted this look to mainly focus on food, especially sweet things as people tend to avoid them because of watching their weight. I chose a chocolate ice cream sundae as many people find it difficult to resist ice cream.

Temperancemeans restraint and moderation.

I found this one difficult to create because what exactly is the colour of temperance?... After searching for a while I found that self-restraint and balance come under the colour orange! Therefore this is a mainly bright orange look with silver bars coming from the lower eye, this signifies prison cell bars, which highlight restraint of yourself.

The Seven Deadly Sins & Heavenly Virtues: Wrath & Forgiveness

This was such a fun make-up look for me, especially Wrath!

Forgiveness - The act of pardoning someone for their sins against you.

According to some websites the colour of Forgiveness is a mixture of golds, whites and creams, so I tried to incorporate this into the look but I still wanted to keep it blended out.

Wrath - Extreme anger, hatred and rage.

Oh my god, Wrath was soooo much fun to play around with as you can tell I literally went all out for this look.

I tried to create a distressed look, with smudges and a lot of black and reds. I pulled on my make up to create the 'mascara' streaks which makes it look like i've either been crying or fighting haha!

Overall this was hilarious to play with, I absolutely loved it!

The Seven Deadly Sins & Heavenly Virtues: Envy & Kindness

This is my second Seven Deadly Sins & Heavenly Virtues make-up look Envy and Kindness

Envy - The need to have better or be better than others.

As green is the colour of envy and jealousy it was necessary to use this as the base of my look. I used yellow, gold, black and white eye shadows to highlight the bright green.

Rhinestones were applied to give a little glitter and sparkle to a very dark look. I also created two tear drop like shapes to show perhaps a cry of jealousy? .. i guess haha.

Kindness - Kindness is a personal quality that enables an individual to be sensitive to the needs of others and to take personal action to endeavor to meet those needs.

I couldn't find any colours that specifically relate to the virtue 'kindness'. After some thinking I chose a rainbow of eye shadows as happiness and fun and being nice to someone can be perceived as multi-coloured.

I really enjoyed making this look, especially Envy as I prefer all the sins to the virtues because they can be so vivid.

The Seven Deadly Sins & Heavenly Virtues: Lust & Chastity Inspired

This is the beginning of my second series and it will kick off with Lust and Chastity as they are opposites.
Lust an inordinate craving for the pleasures of the body or for fame and money.

I chose a very dark red/black look for this as red is usually the colour of lust and love. I coupled this with black to highlight the fact that this is one of the deadly sins.

Chastity: Courage and boldness. Embracing of moral wholesomeness and achieving purity of thought through education and betterment.

I chose a wing to highlight chastity as the idea of purity can be seen as angelic so I thought I would capture the look this way. Using a baby blue eye shadow, I gave colour to a very plain look and I also wanted to achieve dimension.

This look was so much fun! It felt like I was doing a look for heaven and hell which is also a very interesting concept.

Bleach Anime Look 14: Orihime Inoue Inspired

This is my Orihime Inoue inspired look which is really an everyday wear sort of look, which I love as it suits her very well.

I was inspired by her warm heart and just the general way she looks, I felt this look was completely her but i'm really unsure why haha! It feels right to be honest.

Bleach Anime Look 13: Rukia Kuchiki Inspired

This is my second last Bleach Anime make-up look and it is Rukia Kuchiki! I loved this look purely because it just reminds me of Rukia perfectly, probably due to the simplicity of the look.

I tried to create the traditional anime eyes for Rukia's look as she doesn't really wear any make-up whatsoever. I used Soap and Glory cat eye liner to create this look and I winged it out to form the anime eye, with the little triangles to look like fake thick eye lashes.

Product Review: Paperself Eye Lashes - Peacock Feathers

These are my new Paperself Eye Lashes which I got from TKmaxx.

I actually haven't tried putting them on yet as I wanted to get a decent picture of them put from what I have researched they are very fragile, therefore they are a lot to work with since they are fully made of paper.

The way I will work with them is by cutting them into smaller sections and using the eye lashes as outer eye lashes, this means I will get better wear from the product

TKmaxx - 30p
Paperself - £12.99

Product Review: Fraulein 3'8 Palette - Jelly Matte

This is my Fraulein 3'8 Jelly Matte Palette which I bought from Ebay earlier this week.

I love these colours! They are so bright and beautiful annnnd there is 120 of them which is just fantastic. For me there were a lot of blues in this palette which most people may be put off by, but i'm all about the blues/teals so this palette is just for me.

I like the packaging because it's very simple and not over done like most of the Urban Decay book of shadows palettes, I prefer practicality to something looking pretty most of the time.

These are some swatches from the palette and this image doesn't really do the colours justice, they are beyond amazing especially for the price of this palette.

Each eye shadow is roughly the size of a penny, maybe a little bigger, but there is also 120 of them so it is well worth the money, especially for the colour pay off.

Ebay - £10.00

Bleach Anime Look 12: Yumichika Ayasegawa Inspired

This is my Yumichika Ayasegawa look which was mostly inspired by his feathers which he wears on his eyes.

This purple colour is inspired by Yumichika's Zanpakto name which of course it hates therefore I added in blue eye liner for my waterline as it would love it's name to be Sapphire haha! The eye lashes of course signify the feathers on his face, but they were a PAIN to put on...

I really enjoyed creating this look because of all the fun colours and the HUGE eye lashes which look ridiculous.

Bleach Anime Look 11: Grimmjow JeagerJaques Inspired

This is my Grimmjow JeagerJaques inspired look which was created using my new Fraulein 3'8 Palette that I bought from Ebay.

This was possibly one of the easiest looks that i've created, but also the toughest as I had to fight against my natural instinct to blend and smoke the look as it is very bold and sharp. I used a variety of blue and green shades to near enough achieve the right colour for Grimmjow's look.

Color Club: Glitter Vixen Collection

I love this collection! SO MUCH GLITTER! In order from left to right, the names of the nail polishes are: Sexy Siren, Tru Passion, Object of Envy, Art of Seduction, Magic Attraction, Sex Symbol and Sultry.
For each of these nail polishes I only needed two coats before I had full coverage, therefore I really like the formula of these nail polishes.

Product Review: Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil - Freak

I bought Freak the same day I bought Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Liner - Siren. The colour of this eye pencil is unlike anything i've seen before, it's a wonderful spring metallic green with a yellow undertone which makes it very unusual.
Although this image is rubbish you can see the colour pay off is amazing, but the image doesn't do it justice. It can really bring out the eyes as it is so pale, especially green eyes. The creamyness of the pencil allows the product to apply well, without pulling the eyelid.

I would definitely buy this product again, it's a must have for my make-up bag.

Urban Decay - £14

Product Review: Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Liner - Siren

First of all I really like the packaging of this eye liner, mostly because it's simple and doesn't look fancy in the slightest. I like my products to have a good quality pay off, not a cute packaging. So for me Urban Decay always do really well in this department, except with their Book of Shadows volumes which are extremely overdone with all the pop outs and crazy stuff haha! All you really want is the products.

The pay off of this eye liner is phenomenal, this is ONE line of product I didn't even have to go back and make sure it was opaque.

The colour of Siren is this amazing green/blue/teal colour that I have never seen before in an eye liner. For brown/hazel eyes it will highlight them perfectly which is why i bought it.

Overall I adore this product and have been using it every day since i've bought it! It's a little expensive at £14  and can be bought at Debenhams, House of Fraser and large Boots stores from the Urban Decay Section.
