Hallowe'en Make-Up Look - Cracked Porcelain Doll

This was the creepiest look i've ever created in my own opinion. Everything about it just screams WEIRDNESS.

Firstly I coloured my face white with face paint and drew a black cracked effect with a small brush and black face paint.

For my eyes I used a white eyeliner to create a wider water line, this will emphasize the doll-like look. On the top of the lid (which is covered by huge freakin' eyelashes) I drew a fancy cat-eye effect which looked like false eye lashes. This can be used if you are allergic to lash glue or you don't have a pair nearby. I used a thinner pair of eye lashes on the lower lids to increase the size of my eyes and enhance the doll-like effect.

For my lips I used the dame white face paint and covered up the two edges of my lips, this will help shape my lips into a pointed heart shape, then I filled this space in with red lip stain and a MAC red lip stick.

I finished the look off with editing my eyes (you can use contacts) and I put a red bow in my hair, try and match the bow with your lip stick to complete the whole look.

Hallowe'en Make Up Look - The Tin Man, Inspired by MAC

I was searching through the internet all day, looking for inspiration... FINALLY I found a face chart that MAC created back in 2008 for Hallowe'en. It had a metal sheeting effect which i've slightly adapted but not much so that it looks like The Tin Man from The Wizard Of Oz.

Like the face chart I tried to map out a sheet effect and I used metallic shades so that I could make it look as realistic as possible.

I added some screws for detail and filled my lips in with a black lipstick and overlaid it with silver eye shadow for a metallic effect.

Lastly I edited my eyes to give a colder more robotic look. This is supposed to be the Tin Man before he got his heart <3

Product Review: Avon Mega Effects Mascara

I recently was reading through the Avon book and there was a huge promotion for this mascara because it looks soooo frickin' weird. But we'll get to that later, the packaging is very strange since most of us are used to a mascara tube this is very odd to have in your bag.
The applicator is very different to any other mascara i've seen, the weirdest next to this one was the fuzzy ball applicator that L'Oreal brought out a couple of years ago.

This is used much like a type of heated eye lash curler, and to be honest I really like this product, mostly because of how strange it is.

The formula is very good and it comes out very black.

Overall I'd say this was amazing, it's weird, funny shaped, the formula is good and it's only £10 so it would be a 5/5 *****

Winter Skin Care Tip Of The Day - Sunscreen!

Despite popular belief that sunscreen should only be worn on very hot days in Summer, this isn't exactly true as you can still cause your skin harm during Autumn and Winter by exposing it to the sun. It is advisable that sunscreen, BB cream or foundation with SPF 15 should be worn through these months as the exposure to the sun during this time is just as harmful as during the warmer months.

Your lips should also be protected to with an SPF 15 lip balm/moisturizer, this will stop them from cracking quicker than a non-SPF product.

There are a few brands which have sun block ingredients, such as: No7, Benefit, Lip Protection and Clarins.

Hallowe'en Make-Up Look: Cosplay Variation

This was a random creation, I wanted something that could be adapted for any kind of Cosplay or even everyday if it's toned down.

I kept the look very pastel with only a few strong tones which help enhance the look and make it bolder.
I used a matte baby blue shade and a matte pastel purple mixed with a neon purple to create the eyebrow and eyelid look. This look is very blended which gives it a softer effect.

I used Inglot's Gel Eyeliner (which I reviewed already) on my lid, and then I winged it out into a cat eye effect. I felt like it really completed the look and brought it together better.

These are my nails which I done for the look as well, they are very Kawaii which I LOVE! Since i'm a huge fan of anything Japanese.

Included on the nails is a cupcake, an ice cream, a lollipop, a sweetie and a cute little bear.

Hallowe'en Make Up Look: Geisha

I tried to be very subtle with the make up I used here as a Geisha is very understated yet bold.

I used pink for my lips and outer eye-shadow as it resembles cherry blossoms which are popular in Asia. I enhanced this my putting a shimmer purple shade under my inner eye

I lined my eyes to change my eye shape and almost mimic a narrower eye.

For my face make-up I bought a white Snazaroo costume make-up cream so that I could highlight the pale powdered face of a Geisha.

The lips were done with a ombre effect with a neon pink and matte purple. I was going to do the traditional narrow lip paint look but I felt it looked too outdated.

Product Review: Inglot Gel Liners - Number 71 (Light Lilac)

OHH MY GOD! This is by far the best gel liner I have ever bought.

Recently I went to a different shopping centre and found an Inglot Store, which is possibly the best thing that could have happened to Scotland.

All the colours are super pigmented and have long wear in them.

This is shade 71 ( Yeah I know, no actual names for the shades makes this a little more annoying but oh well... ). I love this colour, it's a pigmented violet/lilac which would actually be considered a mild neon shade.

The size of the pot is larger than average and the product goes really far instead of using a lot of it, which means it will last a lonnnng time.

Product Review: Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner Pencil - Deep End

This is one of my mannnnnyyy Urban Decay 24/7 Pencils, I have an obsession with these because their formula and long lasting wear are completely amazing.

Deep End is from the new collection like Freak, which i've made a review on all ready. I love blue/green ocean shades because I think they work well for my eyes personally. But this is just gorgeous.

This is a very shimmer shade but could also be considered metallic? I suppose. Like I said before the formula is long lasting and can even last through your sleep (falling asleep with make-up on, is my constant fail haha). It is also fairly waterproof if you get caught in the rain or something, but I doubt it would last in a swimming pool.

Overall I love this pencil and all of the others as well the price is a little steep at £14 but the quality is definitely there.

Product Review: Sleek New Skin Revive Liquid Foundation

I recently bought this because I ran out of my No7 Foundation that I got to match my skin tone, however I thought this had potential since the tones are varied well.

I believe this shade is Ivory Rose, which is the palest in the collection and since i'm near enough a ghost, this was the perfect shade for me.

It applies really well with brushes and with your hands, I usually apply with my hands and then use a sponge to make it even.

The formula is good and isn't very shiny, however if you are prone to oily skin I would recommend using a finishing powder to set it into a matte finish.

I would give it 4/5 Stars **** Since it works well on my skin.

Hallowe'en/Everyday Make-Up Look 4: Pin Up Girl/1950s Girl

I usually wear my make-up like this anyway because I think it frames my face well. However I made this a little bolder for the camera and also if it's for Hallowe'en you'll want to make a statement.

I used white and cream eye shadows for the main lid colour and I contoured this with a matte taupe shade. My liquid eye liner was applied quite thick and I made a cat eye effect with this.

The red lips are a statement of the 1950's so it was appropriate to include them, plus they complete the look perfectly.

Hallowe'en Make-Up Look 3: Pikachu from Pokemon

PIKACHU!!!

I had to do this make-up look it was just so fun and perfect for anyone who is dressing up without getting a proper costume.

I used a bright yellow eye shadow over my lid and shaped it into a wing, I then coloured the end of the wing black making it look like Pikachu's ears.

The inner corners of my lids were coloured a deep brown which highlight the base of Pikachu's tail.

I used a deep red shade on my lips to highlight Pikachu's cheek colour and also on my water liner.

Hallowe'en Make-Up Look 2: Pop Art Inspired

This is my Pop Art Inspired Make-Up Look which was influenced by the 1950s comic art which is still focused on today.

I coloured my face an off-white colour and painted small red dots in an organised fashion over my face.

I used a bold yellow as my lid colour, making it as bold as possible and then drew a small blue tear drop on my cheek.

The lips were outlined with black liquid liner and filled in with a red lip stick. I created the white shine on my lips with white eye shadow and finished off with filling in my brows.

Hallowe'en Make-Up Look 1: Sugar Skull

Since Hallowe'en is coming up I decided to try some make-up looks for it... Sooooo this is my number one!

Sugar Skulls are used for the Mexican Holiday - Day of the Dead and are used to adorn altars and can be eaten like a cookie type thing.

Each Sugar skull can be done however you like as there really isn't a set way to create them.

For mine I used a bright neon pink and a deep purple for contouring, I then surrounded the eyes with twists to create a pattern.

The lips have been coloured using a deep purple lip stick which I covered in lilac metallic eye shadow.

The rest of the look was made up of basic lines and shapes which can be altered to suit the person creating the look.

Seasons Inspired Make Up Looks!

 Spring

For this look I stayed with pastel colours and focused on the floral aspect of Spring.

I created small blue flowers which shaped my eye and also used a metallic blue eyeliner to highlight them.

The lashes are from Paperself Lashes and are called Peacock
Summer

I gained inspiration for this look by thinking of beaches and the ocean.

I kept this look very blended out with Blues, Yellows and Oranges which I think highlight summer perfectly.

Autumn

I loved doing this look as Autumn is my favorite season.

I wanted to keep this look very vampy and also wearable if you are a bold enough person to wear it.

I started with a green on the inner corners to show a transition of seasons, I then faded this out into golds, oranges and burgundy which are the basic Fall colours.

For the lips I done an ombre effect with a deep purple and black lip stick.
Winter

This was super fun to create, I love playing around with various blue shades.

I tried to keep all my shades frosty or shimmery except my contour colour which was easier to blend as it was matte.
