PastelDreamShoes @ Etsy Product Reviews!

Konnichiwa Minna-san!
UPDATE! You can now find all the products from Pastel Dreams at the new website!

Today i'm looking at PastelDreamShoes @ Etsy, my lovely friend Sofia sent me some of her cute handmade products to check out and review for her! xxx.

First thing I seen when I opened my parcel was the adorable business card for her shop. It has all of the social media links and the link to the store on Etsy

The product I was greeted with were these adorable little hair clips !♥ These are the Pastel Fairy Kei Angel Wings and they are beautiful. I got them in a blue-ish colour with a slight sparkle to them, they've also got crocodile clips which i'm super happy about because they help attach to my hair a lot easier ♥ Overall i'm 100% in love with these clips, they're so well made and easily wearable without being too much.

The second item is a Kawaii Fairy Kei Sweets Bracelet ♥ I asked for the lilac and pink colour scheme since those are my favourite colours, and I couldn't be happier with it! They're two different chains with 6 charms; A macaroon, cake slice, cupcake, doughnut & two ice cream cones. The quality is lovely and you can definitely tell that this is handmade which I adore. Amazing little item and fantastic for a gift!

My final item is a Kawaii Pastel Fairy Kei Necklace ♥ This is super long on me, almost below my bra which I actually like very much. The quality is really good with the super cute rose details. the colours are painted on really well and fade into one another beautifully which I love. Overall I think this is a sweet product for anyone who is into statement jewellery or anything pastel for that matter! ♥

I love all of my items from PastelDreamShoes!! ♥ Ahh they're so adorable, Sofia has many more items for sale in her Etsy Store including amazing hand painted shoes, which I cannot get over! they're too cute ♥ All of these products can be different colours and styles from pastels to gothic blacks and reds.

I will definitely be shopping here more in the future as the products are beautiful and the service is impeccable ♥.

February Kawaii Box Review!

Konnichiwa Minna-san! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
Today I have a very special review for you and it is the February Kawaii Box!

I didn't take a picture of the front because it has my address on it, but it came in a small cardboard box with the company's logo printed on the front.

When you open the inside of the box there is a cute hand written note that says "You can't spell cute without U". I think this is a super adorable touch and it feels personal.

ANNND FINALLY... This is the contents of the February box!

First up we have a Japanese DIY Candy which are growing in popularity in the West. This one is a fairly simple kit, where you add water to powder and mix the contents to form a confetti type sauce which is the candy. I might do a separate review/how-to on this kit if people ask for it, but this seems like a cute thing to try, especially if you are new to these candies.

These cute little stickers were also included in the package, great if you want to add cutesy little touches to your books, cards or letters ≧◡≦.

I love this little pencil case, I was immediately taken by its striking design. I don't find this kawaii, but I like it anyway. I'll personally use this as a small make-up bag because i'm not very into stationary.

I was super happy with this product! I really needed a new set of chopsticks and these are so cute with the panda design. I'm not sure if these come in a wider range of designs for the Kawaii box, but i'm really happy with mine (~ ̄▽ ̄)~.

This little bracelet is both kawaii and fairy kei style which i'm really happy about. I'm looking forward to wearing it with my pastel outfits because they kind of look like adorable candies.

AGHH! I love these so much. Green Tea flavoured Kit Kats are fantastic, if you haven't tried them you really have too. They're so creamy and amazing!

I've always wanted one of these travel tags for my new suitcase and this one is an adorable diamond design. It's so girly and cute and it'll look amazing on my luggage for holidays!

This is your standard Hello Kitty eraser, it's so small and cute. Truthfully it's been years since i've owned a pencil or eraser, probably since high school so i'm happy about this.

AGHH! I love this little guy, i'm assuming it's a red panda, but it could also be a raccoon? I'm not very sure. I think it's so sweet & soft so he will definitely be going on my key♥‿♥.

This is another key chain type product. I think it's a candy or a chocolate, it reminds me of the chocolate foil cups you used to get in the UK, but it's kind of cone shaped. Regardless i'll be probably putting this on one of my handbags.

Awww this is such a cute little lollipop hair clip, I think i'll wear this with my lolita wig to make it look even more kawaii (◕‿-). It's all sparkly with little pearl detailing and has an amazing assortment of colours.

And finally this sweet little mechanical pencil with a cupcake bear on the top. Like I said above, i've not had a pencil in years and i'm so happy about this one, and now I have an eraser to go with it.

Overall i'm very satisfied with my purchase and I think it's a wonderful idea to get more Japanese and kawaii products to others around the world.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara (Sample Preview From Elle Magazine) Review.

Konnichiwa Minna-san! This is the much anticipated Benefit Roller Lash Mascara review, I have been very very excited to try out this little promotion from Benefit & Elle magazine.

Earlier this month Benefit revealed that they would be giving away small samples of their new mascara in the March edition of Elle magazine as a promotion of the product. Immediately I was interested as I have tried a few of the Benefit mascaras previous such as the "They're Real"  mascara from a year or two ago.

The sample is so cute and small, about the same size as any standard sample of mascara. The packaging isn't exactly the same as the mascara that will be coming out next month, it's a but more simpler done as the full sized version will have a hair roller as the tube lid.

I love the brush, I am a huge fan of plastic brushes without bristles because I prefer a more clean look rather than full with a lot of volume.

I personally really like this mascara in comparison to the other Benefit mascaras that i've had in the past. The lift and length it gives my eyelashes is very noticeable, but the lashes are also very spaced apart as well due to the way the brush and the bottle near enough eliminate clumps.

The after picture to the left shows one coat of the mascara, this could easily be buildable to create the lash look that you desire, but for me this is basically perfect.

I would recommend using a eyelash curler with this mascara to get the full effect of the product.

Overall I would say this is a win for me, and that is something I don't usually say about a Benefit product. The formula is good, the packaging (even the sample packaging) is good and the brush is ideal for me.

There is still a possibility that you can buy this in the March issue of Elle if it hasn't sold out in your local store.

Make-Up Revolution @ Superdrug - Flick, Thick and Thin Eyeliner

Hello Minna-san!!

Earlier this week I wrote a first impressions review on the Make-Up Revolution Flick, Thick and Thin Eyeliner, which I was initially very impressed with as it is a two in one felt tip liner.

Despite the thick and thin aspect of the pen, the thin tip is not very thin at all. Well that being said it is probably my personal preference as I use a hair-like brush for my liquid liner.

We already know that this type of eyeliner isn't waterproof... at all. It is very easily smudges so I thought I would try out the longevity of the liner over a 10hour period.

First Applied @ 1pm.

Before Taking The Eyeliner Off @ 10pm.

Over the course of the ten hours the eyeliner wasn't particularly a problem, except for the smudging in the outer courners and a slight shadow in the crease area from transferring. If you aren't too bothered about your eyeliner being slightly smudgy after a long period of time then I would recommend this as it was only £2.50.

Make-Up Revolution @ Superdrug: Ultra Professional Eyeshadow, Eyes Like Angels Palette!

Konbanwa! Another Revolution @ Superdrug Review and this one is for the Eyes Like Angels Palette

The packaging is very simple and has a huge mirror, the only flaw is that the mirror doesn't have a ribbon or something to stop it from falling, so it would need to be propped up against something to use it.

For an ultra-cheap palette there are 32 amazing eye shadows here... There is a mixture of mattes, metallics, shimmers and frosts, easily a very well rounded palette.

The quality of the pigmentation is absolutely unreal for a cheap palette, I would even go so far to say that it rivals Urban Decay in quality. These swatches were taken by rubbing the shadow very lightly and it gave this amazing pay off.

The colours on this swatch are as follows (from left to right):

  • Peacock Dream
  • Pink!
  • Green Envy
  • Aqua Dream
  • Orange
  • Lilac Shimmer
  • Green Dream
  • Sophisticated Pink
  • Moss

I highly recommend this palette and I would easily pay over £20 for the quality here.

Rating: 10/10 - Amazing Quality, Cheap, Plenty Of Colours To Choose From.

Price: £8.00!!!

Make-Up Revolution @ Superdrug. Liquid Eyeliner & Inner Eye Brightening Liner Review.

Ohayou Minna-san! Today I have a double review for a new brand that has came out for Superdrug in the UK, and it is called Make-up Revolution!

My first purchase is the Eyeliner Flick Thick & Thin which I bought to replace my old black liquid liner. I was surprised by the quality of this eyeliner considering the amazing price... wow... The black is very opaque with just one stroke. However despite the positives it is definitely not a waterproof product and should be worn on a very dry day, due to this I believe it would be a tricky product for those with oily eyelids.

Rating: 7/10 - Good for the price, Not budge proof.
Price: £3.50

I have been looking for a cheap inner eyeliner for months as I refuse to pay tons for pencil eyeliners. This is a super cheap alternative to all of the expensive eye brighteners on the market. The colour really brightens the water line and unlike the liquid liner above, this doesn't budge at all. Depending on your skin tone this will be more effective or less effective, personally I have pretty pale skin, which can be seen in the photo above and it does wonders on my eyes

Rating: 10/10 - Amazing inexpensive product, Really does the job, Lasts all day.
Price: £2.50

Ionix Diamond Drops with Argan Oil Hair Serum! xxx

Konbanwa Minna-san! xxx

Today for the first time in months I have a product review! This is a hair serum by Ionix and it is the Diamond Drops with Argan Oil type.

I have very soft hair... ridiculously soft... Until you get to the ends, which are completely frizzy. So to combat this problem I have been searching high and low for hair oils that I feel will work for my hair type.

Fortunately I found this gem in TKMAXX for an absolute steal! xxx

First of all the smell is delightful, it is somewhere between jasmine and the hair spray Elnett, it is amazingly light weight and gives an amazing shine without seeming greasy. The product helps strengthen if applied onto damp hair and it promotes a healthy shine if applied to dry hair.

Overall I was completely surprised by this product I think it is fantastic, especially if you can find it on sale like I did! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

  • Price RRP: £49.99
  • Price at TKMAXX: £4.99

Rating: 9/10 - Purely because I haven't used it longer, but what I see I definitely like xxx!

Dolly Pastel Lolita Make-Up Look (◕ ◡ ◕)

Konbanwa Minna-san! ♥ Today I have brought you a Pastel Lolita Make-up Look.

Firstly I started with the eye make-up and I applied Too Faced Shadow Insurance in Candlelight to prevent the eye-shadows from creasing.

Secondly I applied a Champagne colour on the inner two thirds of the eye, for me I used Urban Decay's Sin.

Following this I began the apply the purple/lilac shades to the outer corners of the eye and whilst doing this I was also bringing the colour up into the crease. For this I used a mixture of Inglot shades and colours from my 88 Palette from Coastal Scents. From here it is just about blending and applying until you get the right balance.

On the inner corners I used a bright white eye-shadow from my NYX Palette, which I believe is supposed to be a dupe of the Urban Decay Naked Palette. From there I also applied a white eyeliner on the waterline, and I used an MUA pencil liner which is absolutely fantastic for this.

After applying the eyeliner to the waterline I proceeded to connect to purple colour from the outer crease to the white eye-shadow on the inner corner.

I then lined my eyes with Urban Decay's 24/7 Liquid Eyeliner in Perversion, then I curled my lashes and applied my mascara which is from Estée Lauder. I then finally applied false eye-lashes which are from EBay.

For my face I applied my usual Coconut Oil as a moisturizer as I have very dry skin, and then proceeded with my BB cream from Korea and the brand is Skin79. I also applied my under eye concealer from Lancomé.

For my cheeks I used a highlighter from Revolution, and it was in a pink-ish/beige shade. I then applied my
Estée Lauder blush and the face was complete!

Finally for the lips I filled them in with an Inglot Lip liner and applied a beige/pink coloured lip stick to finish.

Annnd that's it for my Pastel Lolita Look, I hope you enjoyed the mini tutorial that went with it!

I'm hoping to add more Kawaii/Lolita make-up looks in the future, along with reviews on make-up and fashion products.

Thank you for reading!
