Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette Review! ♥

Konnichiwa Minna! ♥ Today I have an Urban Decay review and it's for the Vice 4 palette. This palette came out a couple of months ago and I just received it as a surprise Christmas present from my wonderful fiance, so i've decided to do a quite in depth review of it since this is my new current make-up obsession!

The packaging is absolutely stunning, I love the holographic edgy design of the palette and also how it's completely practical. As most people know Urban Decay isn't the best at making packaging that's easy to travel with or store, so this is perfect as it comes with a travel pouch and is made from sturdy plastic.

The mirror is freaking huge... This is always a plus for me, and it can stay up on it's own without flopping back like many other palettes. It also has a clipped closure, so there's a very small chance that the palette will randomly open in your bag or suitcase!

There are exactly 20 eye shadows that are mattes, shimmers, duo chromes and glitters. For me this is probably the most balanced Urban Decay palette i've seen in a long time, it's not very often you get a nice selection of matte shades from UD so this was a lovely surprise.

Top to Bottom: Bones, Grip, Deadbeat, Beatdown & Pandemonium

The first line of shades are pretty dark and they are all super shimmery. Deadbeat was the only slight disappointment in this line as the glitter doesn't really show up as well as it does in the pan and the texture is a little chalky. Other than that one shade, all of the others are stunning!

Top to Bottom: Framed, Fastball, 1985, Underhand & Harlot

My favourite line of shades ever... All of these red/pinks are fantastic, the texture on all of them is butter smooth and the colour pay off is brilliant, I would've probably bought this palette just for these shades in all honesty.

Top to Bottom: Discreet, Grasshopper, C-Note, Arctic & Robbery

Ahhh the pretty greens. Just like the red/pinks, all of these are very buttery and easy to apply. However the last shade (Robbery) is a little on the chalky side much like Deadbeat from the first row. Chalky textures aside, the pigmentation is actually really amazing on all of these shades including Robbery.

Top to Bottom: Bitter, Flame, Low, Crowbar & Delete

These colours look so much better on the skin than they do in the palette, it's not too often I say that as well. My favourite here is definitely Flame, it's an insane orange/gold/red holographic shade that looks incredible when you're in natural light. The two mattes here are very well pigmented at apply smoothly which was surprising.

Overall I would completely recommend this palette, it's fun with enough neutral shades to use everyday. It's such a well balanced palette at for £43 I think it's completely worth the money!

Gothic Lolita Make Up Look Transformation! ♥

Konbanwa Minna-san! Today is a really short blog post about Gothic Lolita Make-up and I hope you all enjoy it, I really stepped out of my comfort zone for this look since i'm not very good with dark make-up looks. All links to the products I used will be below

I finally put my Lolita wig to proper use. I bought this from Ebay and posted a review a while ago since I was so pleased. The blouse is from Yesstyle, I bought this around a year and a half ago so i'm unsure if it's still in stock. I'll find one similar and put the link below if anyone is interested. My Circle lenses are from a dear friend of mine Pastel Dreams Shoes and Accessories and they are Naty Swan - Pink ♥

For my eye make-up I done a basic smokey eye with a red-ish burgundy shade and a deep black to give more depth and edgy to my make-up, using the Like Angels palette from Make-Up Revolution & Urban Decay's Naked Basics Palette. I layered a brighter metallic red on top of the burgundy to really make the lid colour pop. The eyeliner I used is Urban Decay's Ink for Eyes and it has been very winged out to create a dramatic cat eye, i've also formed a point in the inner corner to bring the whole look together. After this I lined my water line with a black eyeliner from MUA, added mascara from Rimmel and my accent lashes with beading from Bourjois

For my face make-up I used Skin 79 Diamond Prestige BB Cream with L'Oreal's Studio Secrets Primer beneath it for a smooth finish. Since the make-up was pretty heavy under my eye I decided against concealer. My highlight is from MUA and it's the shade Gold and my blush is from Estee Lauder in Pink Ingenue

Finally my lip colour is Black Metal Dahlia from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, the inner corners have been shaded in with my MUA black eyeliner to give them more definition

Thank you very much for reading my tutorial and I hope you stick around for more in the future

Primark Haul! #1 ♥

Hello guys! This is my very first Primark haul, which is rather surprising considering this store is like my second home. I'm not entirely sure how world wide Primark is? But I think they're possibly expanding into America or they already have... I have genuinely no idea, but you can possibly find something like these items on Ebay as well
 (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

The first item is this high neck cable bodycon dress, in a grey/black pebbled colour. I usually go for floating girly dresses, mostly with a skater style so this for me was definitely a big change... and I LOVE IT! Oh wow this looks amazing on and it fits perfectly. I would say that in Primark most of the clothing is true to size and this is one of them ♥ This is a very classy dress that is timeless (From my previous Sheinside haul you all know I love timeless dresses, something that will stay on trend is a definite money saver). This was a bargain at £6.00 and as usually I can't leave a link since Primark has no website o(╥﹏╥)o.

Probably the item I was most excited about, the dreaded kimono! I have wanted one of these for at least a year and a half, but I never found one that stood out enough from the rest. The fringe on the end with the pastel floral pattern is exactly what I wanted. the fabric is wonderfully light and airy. The kimono ends at my ankles so girls who are shorter than 4ft 10 might want to find a shorter version. This was £12.00 which completely baffled me since it looks far more expensive than it is, so this was easily the steal of the day ♥

I've been wanting a drop type necklace for some time now, but since i'm clumsy and forgetful I mostly only wear fashion jewelry except from my gran's ring and my engagement ring. So I found this little gem (literally) it's a heart shaped pendant with a small crystal on the drop of the necklace. It doesn't look obviously cheap which I like and I don't really mind if I lose it for £2.00.

And lastly it's this set of three crystal chokers! ♥ They're in a peach, lilac and mint colour and absolutely adorable, perfect for any fairy kei or dolly look since they're really subtle. I like that I can mix and match with different outfits, but I kind of wish they had a few more sets with different colours... but hey! you can't have everything and £1.50 for three of them is a bargain anyway ♥

Thank you very much for reading my review and I hope you stick around for more in the future

Sheinside Haul & Review #3

Konnichiwa Minna-san! Today I have the much awaited Sheinside Haul and Review. I bought these items around 4 weeks ago and they finally arrived yesterday. Sheinside have insisted they are trying to make their shipping faster as this length of wait can be an inconvenience for most.

Now onto the items!! The first item which was also the first in my basket is this amazing BIG BANG t-shirt  ♥. If you aren't into KPOP then you'll be a little confused, but Big Bang are my favourite KPOP Idol group (except from VIXX) so I of course had to own this t-shirt. The material is very soft and stretchy, I feel like this could fit a size 6-10 as it's a free size tshirt. The print is awesome and perfect for any hardcore KPOP fan ヾ(〃^∇^)ノ. Overall the quality is completely on point, it's a simple, easy to wear and comfortable item for not very much money. Bargain!

Super Harajuku and Kawaii!!! This is the ultimate harajuku style t-shirt, the graphics are a hirigana which I can't decipher and three onigiris, which are rice balls ♥ I noticed in my wardrobe that I don't own any black t-shirts so I decided to get an ultra kawaii one! It's free sized again but it's far more fitted than the Big Bang t shirt, I would say it could only fit a size 6-8 roughly, not very much room at all for anyone of a larger size. I adore this, it's high quality with not threads or damages, the graphic is vibrant and different which is what I wanted. Easily my favourite t-shirt at the moment (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧.

This is such an essential! I love classic timeless pieces of clothing and this is clearly one of them. I could never see this style going out of fashion to be honest, so for me this is an investment. The description says Pink, but I would say this is a beige/salmon colour. The dress is in a A-line style with a short cape that starts at the front and ends before the back zip. The fabric feels very high quality and the inside is lined with a silky/satin fabric which feels wonderful and luxurious to put on . This dress is a big win for me, I feel like it works for any occasion both casual and formal and even for any season.

This was my favourite item of the haul so I saved it for last! This is such an adorable mesh midi ballet skirt and it comes in two colours I believe, brown/peach and black/grey. I was skeptical about the quality of this skirt as previous reviews were very negative, after receiving my skirt I couldn't be happier and in all honesty I have no idea how anyone could hate it. It fits me perfectly as it has an elastic waist, and the length is around mid shin on my 4ft 10 frame. The material is light and airy for summer, but has winter/autumn colours so I feel this could work at any time of the year. I've not yet made an outfit for this skirt but i'm hoping to buy a silky brown tank top to compliment the under skirt.  I love everything about this skirt, it will be a staple clothing item for me now

Thank you very much for reading my review and I hope you stick around for more in the future

Holika Holika - Makgeolli Brightening Mask Sheet Review

Konnichiwa Minna-san! Today I have a Korean Skin Care product reviewed for you and it is a skin brightening mask.

Korea is very well known for their skin care products and their skin brightening products which promote a healthier glow, I have tried many of these masks over the past few years but I've never thought in depth about how they made my skin look and feel. The mask i'm reviewing today is from the brand Holika Holika and it is the Makgeolli Brightening Mask Sheet!

The packaging itself is very thick soft plastic which won't easily tear if you are traveling, the packet can also be folded up as there is not a lotion inside which could burst. The inside is foil lined to keep the mask fresh.

How to use:

1. Cleanse your face thoroughly and use a toner.
2. Apply the face mask and wait 15-20 minutes
3. Remove mask and rub the extra product into your face and neck and wait for it to dry.
4. If you have very dry skin then possibly add a heavy moisturizer on top.

I LOOK TERRIFYING... It's the perfect mask for scaring your family & friends if you can't sit still for 20 minutes. The mask itself is absolutely freezing when you first put it on! It is definitely a shock to your system and will wake you up. It feels like thick tissue paper that has been soaked in a gel-like serum, which is actually after a while a very relaxing feeling and you can feel like it is doing some good to your skin.

Overall - 8/10: I would use this again but not for its brightening qualities as i'm not sure I can see much difference in skin's glow. However it makes your face completely baby smooth, and that is good enough for me in all honesty. It might not be what it says on the packet but I enjoyed it and the experience is very relaxing and pampering.

You can find 5 masks on Amazon for around £17, which is a little pricey but the store I originally bought mine from is not selling them anymore.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara (Sample Preview From Elle Magazine) Review.

Konnichiwa Minna-san! This is the much anticipated Benefit Roller Lash Mascara review, I have been very very excited to try out this little promotion from Benefit & Elle magazine.

Earlier this month Benefit revealed that they would be giving away small samples of their new mascara in the March edition of Elle magazine as a promotion of the product. Immediately I was interested as I have tried a few of the Benefit mascaras previous such as the "They're Real"  mascara from a year or two ago.

The sample is so cute and small, about the same size as any standard sample of mascara. The packaging isn't exactly the same as the mascara that will be coming out next month, it's a but more simpler done as the full sized version will have a hair roller as the tube lid.

I love the brush, I am a huge fan of plastic brushes without bristles because I prefer a more clean look rather than full with a lot of volume.

I personally really like this mascara in comparison to the other Benefit mascaras that i've had in the past. The lift and length it gives my eyelashes is very noticeable, but the lashes are also very spaced apart as well due to the way the brush and the bottle near enough eliminate clumps.

The after picture to the left shows one coat of the mascara, this could easily be buildable to create the lash look that you desire, but for me this is basically perfect.

I would recommend using a eyelash curler with this mascara to get the full effect of the product.

Overall I would say this is a win for me, and that is something I don't usually say about a Benefit product. The formula is good, the packaging (even the sample packaging) is good and the brush is ideal for me.

There is still a possibility that you can buy this in the March issue of Elle if it hasn't sold out in your local store.

Yesstyle.co.uk Haul & Review! #1

Konbanwan Minna-san! Today I have the long awaited Yesstyle.co.uk Haul and Review I have shopped at this website for just over a year and I love it for the bargains and super kawaii products that you can find.

My first purchase was these amazing jewel encrusted tights. I mean... oh my god, they are so gorgeous. The tights are very well made and very thick in order to keep the jewels properly attached. All of the jewels are held on by a type of super glue, so I would wear these tights with caution as it is possible a gem is accidentally pulled off.

The second item of clothing was this jumper/dress which is made from surprisingly thick material and it is double lined. It is layered 3 times with chiffon-like material, lace and a knitted material, it is very warm so ideal for the strange Scottish weather we are experiencing at the moment. The attention to detail is noticed on this jumper with the bow embroidery and the pattern on the lace at the bottom. Overall I really like this jumper but as i'm 4ft 10 I can use this as a dress without any issues.

This is one of the most kawaii things I own now, so cute! The top is very tight fitting with a ribbed sort of texture, which is very elasticated in my opinion. The sleeves, collar and bottom of the top is accented with a bright Barbie pink colour, and both the sleeves and center of the collar have a pink bow for detail as well. This top is incredibly well made even though it is a little see-through, but I feel like it could go with any outfit (skirts/jeans/shorts).

I feel like a painted when I wear this, but I absolutely adore it! This is a tie-neck shirt-dress which is really over sized, exactly the way I wanted it. The fabric is really good quality and the product was identical to the picture from the website. I was worried about the material and shape of the dress being too boxy for my short & slim frame but the shirt is actually very flattering to my body, however a belt could be put around the waist if over sized items aren't your sort of thing. I truly love this, it is so comfortable and light weight, but also warm so I feel it could be worn in any season quite freely.

Can we all just take a moment to see how freaking cute this is!!! I nearly died when I found this amazing sweater, this is so adorable and it comes in three colours (grey/pink/blue) with ultra cute bunnies all over it!! This is the blue one and it is now no longer available unfortunately, but the other colours are super kawaii as well. The inside is a fleece texture and so cosy and warm, the colours are bold & bright, it is a very eye catching sweater. I completely adore this, it is my favourite item from my Yesstyle haul which is why I left it to the end!

I hope you enjoyed my first Yesstyle haul and I hope to do many more of them in the future, as this is my favourite place to buy clothes from now (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

Sheinside Haul & Review #2!!! (Fluffy Pink Turtleneck Jumper/Dress)

Konbanwan! I have a Sheinside review for the first time in months.

I have been waiting a few weeks to get this package delivered and it finally came today. I bought a super cute long knitted jumper/dress, I know its February and the warmer weather should be coming in.... But news flash this is Scotland and we have bipolar weather.

First off I think the price was bang on for a jumper of this quality, the material is super soft and thick. You could easily wear this without a jacket, it is so cosy.

I'm 4ft 10 and for me the dress goes basically to my knees, if you're a taller girl you'll find this to be more of a jumper than a dress. Wearing it as a dress is really easy as the material is thick enough to not become see through even when stretched a little.

My favourite thing about this jumper aside from the baby pink colour is the neck line. I love a turtle neck because I get cold super easily, this is so warm and goes all the way up to my jaw line. For some this might be uncomfortable and I wouldn't recommend if you aren't fond of fabric near your face. The jumper is also one size fits all, and i'm a size 6... The jumper hangs off of me so I estimate it could fit up to a size 12.

Overall this is easily going to become my favourite jumper. The colour, the texture, the neckline... It all just works for me perfectly.

Make-Up Revolution @ Superdrug - Flick, Thick and Thin Eyeliner

Hello Minna-san!!

Earlier this week I wrote a first impressions review on the Make-Up Revolution Flick, Thick and Thin Eyeliner, which I was initially very impressed with as it is a two in one felt tip liner.

Despite the thick and thin aspect of the pen, the thin tip is not very thin at all. Well that being said it is probably my personal preference as I use a hair-like brush for my liquid liner.

We already know that this type of eyeliner isn't waterproof... at all. It is very easily smudges so I thought I would try out the longevity of the liner over a 10hour period.

First Applied @ 1pm.

Before Taking The Eyeliner Off @ 10pm.

Over the course of the ten hours the eyeliner wasn't particularly a problem, except for the smudging in the outer courners and a slight shadow in the crease area from transferring. If you aren't too bothered about your eyeliner being slightly smudgy after a long period of time then I would recommend this as it was only £2.50.
