Gothic Lolita Make Up Look Transformation! ♥

Konbanwa Minna-san! Today is a really short blog post about Gothic Lolita Make-up and I hope you all enjoy it, I really stepped out of my comfort zone for this look since i'm not very good with dark make-up looks. All links to the products I used will be below

I finally put my Lolita wig to proper use. I bought this from Ebay and posted a review a while ago since I was so pleased. The blouse is from Yesstyle, I bought this around a year and a half ago so i'm unsure if it's still in stock. I'll find one similar and put the link below if anyone is interested. My Circle lenses are from a dear friend of mine Pastel Dreams Shoes and Accessories and they are Naty Swan - Pink ♥

For my eye make-up I done a basic smokey eye with a red-ish burgundy shade and a deep black to give more depth and edgy to my make-up, using the Like Angels palette from Make-Up Revolution & Urban Decay's Naked Basics Palette. I layered a brighter metallic red on top of the burgundy to really make the lid colour pop. The eyeliner I used is Urban Decay's Ink for Eyes and it has been very winged out to create a dramatic cat eye, i've also formed a point in the inner corner to bring the whole look together. After this I lined my water line with a black eyeliner from MUA, added mascara from Rimmel and my accent lashes with beading from Bourjois

For my face make-up I used Skin 79 Diamond Prestige BB Cream with L'Oreal's Studio Secrets Primer beneath it for a smooth finish. Since the make-up was pretty heavy under my eye I decided against concealer. My highlight is from MUA and it's the shade Gold and my blush is from Estee Lauder in Pink Ingenue

Finally my lip colour is Black Metal Dahlia from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, the inner corners have been shaded in with my MUA black eyeliner to give them more definition

Thank you very much for reading my tutorial and I hope you stick around for more in the future

Himistore Haul & Review #1 xx!

Konnichiwa Minna-san! Today I have a really exciting haul & review for you, I will be reviewing Himistore @ Storenvy !

The first item I bought was the Lolita French Style Suit, I bought this for going to London this summer for the Hyper Japan Convention. I absolutely adore this outfit, it is so lightweight for the hot summer I hope we'll be getting this year.

I love the style of this suit, it is white with baby blue pin stripes and has a cute embroidered book on the front. The sleeves and elastic around the thighs & neck line are lined with lace and pale blue ribbons for added detail.

The quality of the product is fantastic and I cannot flaw it at all, and as you can see from my photographs it fits perfectly. However the only issue for this product is that it only comes in one size, so there isn't a plus sized option. I can see this fitting people from a size 6-10 possibly.

I got this cute little rainbow choker as a free gift in my package from Himistore, It really reminds me of the 90's black chokers with a more fairy kei/kawaii twist to it. I am so pleased with this and it was an adorable little surprise!

I got another free gift as well! Thank you so much Himistore your gifts are really appreciated. This was a pair of Lolita stockings which can be worn as both knee highs and thigh highs, the material is very good quality and the stockings themselves are see through with a opaque white band at the top.

My final purchase was the Vivi Lotus Leaf Lolita Boots which I am absolutely in LOVE with... oh wow they are gorgeous. I bought them in a white leather and the quality is fantastic.

The top of the boots has a beautiful leather laced edging which makes the boots look very lolita styled. The platform is high enough for your feet to feel comfortable in these boots which is always a plus, nothing is worse than having sore feet! I think the laces and the metal detailing on the ends are lovely and they contrast with the rest of the shoe extremely well.

Overall I am very happy with my purchases and the free gifts from Himistore, I will also call attention to their amazing customer service as they asked for my foot measurements to ensure my boots would fit me correctly without any issues. I found this service amazing and very odd as most websites and sellers are not too bothered about their customers as long as they get a sale.

I high recommend this website and I will definitely be buying from them again in the near future.

Lolita French Style Suit - $46.99
Vivi Lotus Leaf Boots - $61.99

February Kawaii Box Review!

Konnichiwa Minna-san! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
Today I have a very special review for you and it is the February Kawaii Box!

I didn't take a picture of the front because it has my address on it, but it came in a small cardboard box with the company's logo printed on the front.

When you open the inside of the box there is a cute hand written note that says "You can't spell cute without U". I think this is a super adorable touch and it feels personal.

ANNND FINALLY... This is the contents of the February box!

First up we have a Japanese DIY Candy which are growing in popularity in the West. This one is a fairly simple kit, where you add water to powder and mix the contents to form a confetti type sauce which is the candy. I might do a separate review/how-to on this kit if people ask for it, but this seems like a cute thing to try, especially if you are new to these candies.

These cute little stickers were also included in the package, great if you want to add cutesy little touches to your books, cards or letters ≧◡≦.

I love this little pencil case, I was immediately taken by its striking design. I don't find this kawaii, but I like it anyway. I'll personally use this as a small make-up bag because i'm not very into stationary.

I was super happy with this product! I really needed a new set of chopsticks and these are so cute with the panda design. I'm not sure if these come in a wider range of designs for the Kawaii box, but i'm really happy with mine (~ ̄▽ ̄)~.

This little bracelet is both kawaii and fairy kei style which i'm really happy about. I'm looking forward to wearing it with my pastel outfits because they kind of look like adorable candies.

AGHH! I love these so much. Green Tea flavoured Kit Kats are fantastic, if you haven't tried them you really have too. They're so creamy and amazing!

I've always wanted one of these travel tags for my new suitcase and this one is an adorable diamond design. It's so girly and cute and it'll look amazing on my luggage for holidays!

This is your standard Hello Kitty eraser, it's so small and cute. Truthfully it's been years since i've owned a pencil or eraser, probably since high school so i'm happy about this.

AGHH! I love this little guy, i'm assuming it's a red panda, but it could also be a raccoon? I'm not very sure. I think it's so sweet & soft so he will definitely be going on my key♥‿♥.

This is another key chain type product. I think it's a candy or a chocolate, it reminds me of the chocolate foil cups you used to get in the UK, but it's kind of cone shaped. Regardless i'll be probably putting this on one of my handbags.

Awww this is such a cute little lollipop hair clip, I think i'll wear this with my lolita wig to make it look even more kawaii (◕‿-). It's all sparkly with little pearl detailing and has an amazing assortment of colours.

And finally this sweet little mechanical pencil with a cupcake bear on the top. Like I said above, i've not had a pencil in years and i'm so happy about this one, and now I have an eraser to go with it.

Overall i'm very satisfied with my purchase and I think it's a wonderful idea to get more Japanese and kawaii products to others around the world.

Step-By-Step Liquid Eyeliner Makeup Look - The Cat Eye!

Konnichiwa Minna-san! I thought I would create a sort of step-by-step tutorial for liquid eyeliner, for those who find it awkward or a little intimidating. I will also be including a variety of liquid eyeliners that I recommend as well!

1. Start from the center of the eye to estimate the thickness of the eyeliner band that you are looking for.

2. Draw a steadily thinner line on the inner corner and do this in short flicks, instead of drawing the line all at once. This will reduce the chances of messing the line up.

3. Draw a line out to the outer corner of the eye and extend it into a sharp line as far as you want. This will be how far your cat eye will reach. Connect the line with another shorter line from the bottom outer corner of the eye. This will create a outline of a triangle with a blank spot in the middle.

4. Fill in the triangle and proceed to fix any mistakes or thicken the line more if you wish. After all this is only a small guide, after which you can play around with all types of styles and thicknesses.

5. That's you finished! It can be hard to get used too, but after a while it will seem like second nature.

Some people will find different applicators more easier to use than others, for people who are starting out I would recommend a sponge-tip as it can give you more control over your movements. However it mostly makes your lines quite thick, which can be an issue. Gel liner is very useful as a stepping stone between pencil and liquid liners, as the formula is a bit stiffer and easier to control. I personally find a thin hair-like applicator much easier as you can get the flicks very thin and precise.

Eye liner: Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Liner - Perversion

I hope you liked this tutorial Minna-san! ♥

Ulzzang Lip Make-Up Look (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

Hello Minna-san!
Ulzzang is a term in Korean for "Best Face" or something to that description, it basically highlights those of above average appearance. People with this style/look usually use the same make-up looks, almost to the point that the term Ulzzang has became a make-up look in it's self.

Today I have chosen to do the Ulzzang lip look for all of you as it's fun, easy and practically anyone will have the products for it!

The bases of an Ulzzang lip look is to have a stained inner lip which will fade out to a pale outer lip. For me I have chosen a fuchsia pink as my stain and a lip balm as my pale outer colour,
The key is to be gentle and gradually add the stain on the inner portion of your lips, this will give them an almost bitten look which is what you're going for.

Afterwards you add a pale lip colour which compliments your stain, in my case it was a pearl shine lip balm from Nivea.

Around the edges of your lips you can add a very light concealer to draw attention to the cupids bow at the top of your lips, or even a liquid highlighter.

And that completes my Ulzzang Lip Look (0♥‿♥0) and I hope you all enjoyed it! xxx

Blue Pastel Dolly/Lolita Eyed Make-Up Look

Konbanwan Minna-san!

Today I have a make-up look for you inspired by Lolita and Dolly style make-up and clothing. This look is simple, quick and colourful making it the ideal spring dolly look.

I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance and then applied a nude eye shadow colour, the same shade as my eyelid all the way up to the eye crease. After this I applied a pastel blue eye shadow colour on the outer corners and blended this with the nude colour to blur out the edges and make the who look smooth.

After this I applied a white colour above the blue as a form of highlight due to how pale I am, and then proceeded with eyeliner. I used my Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Liner in Perversion as it is the blackest eyeliner that I've ever used. I then applied mascara and false lashes from Eyelure. For my water line I applied Make-Up Revolution's Eye Brightener mixed with white eyeliner from MUA.

For my face I applied Skin79 VIP Gold BB Cream and Estee Lauder in Peach Passion. My highlight is from MUA and my lip colour is Lime Crime Velvetine - Suedeberry mixed with Hawaiian Tropic lip gloss - Island Berry.

I hope you all like this look I created and there will be many more in the future as well.

PinkyP Art by Leah G & Lolita Fashion @ Zazzle Store & Product Review! xxx

Konbanwa Minna-san!

Today I am feeling so lucky because I get to review the creations of Leah G, the designer of PinkyP! I was so thrilled to be asked to review some of the ultra cute designs she has created for her Zazzle store. xxx

First off are these adorable cushions, they are so cute! I feel like I can almost relate to the character on the left side, she reminds me so much of myself when I was younger. The contrast of the pink hair and dark background is very complimenting on the second cushion, it really makes the character stand out and look bold. I truly adore these two designs, I find them fresh, unique and a gorgeous cushion pattern.

A variety of different clothing is available with a multitude of designs as well. The two that I picked are the two that for me, stood out the most for my tastes. The first is the leggings, I love love love these... The bow & weaved design down the side of the leg is so cute. The t-shirt has the signature character of Leah G's designs, PinkyP featured on the front. I think this is so kawaii with the different shades of pink used & the twin pony tails on PinkyP.

This is definitely a must for me, I must always have a compact mirror with me at all times. Cutie PinkyP is featured here once again, this time in a gothic/chic version and another steam punk design. I love the simplicity of the black and the roses on the gothic design, I think I actually prefer this one to the steam punk design.

I simply adore these binders and the fact that they can be personalised! How useful is that?! Fair enough you could be normal and have your name, but for people with lots of subjects of study you could get a few of these and name them for all your different studies. The new Emerald type design here is a must have for me... sooo pretty, I love the colour of green so much in this character. The punky/gothic/lolita/steam punk girl is back in this design and she is fierce. I love the cogs & clocks as it makes the image super edgy, especially with the bright pop of pink hair again. PinkyP is back again in this bubblegum barbie pink design, I think this is super cute with her pink, almost strawberry shortcake type dress.

Now this is a product I can get my hands on! I love purses, especially purses with lots of room of course. I picked these two designs to review because they just called out to me, I adore the simplicity of the first design and the punky character of the second design. Both of these are a win/win for me.

I love the difference with the bow design for the messenger bag, it's a little change from many of the previous designs as it's simple but still bold & makes a statement to any outfit. The pastel PinkyP design for the second bag is adorable and very me! anything pastel will definitely appeal to moi. This bag looks like something you would take on a day out when you aren't needing to carry very much with you, possibly going out shopping and you only need to carry a purse?

These two designs are so different, I love the zombie/sugar skull character and the sugar skulls in the background of the punky/gothic lolita girl as well. I would definitely have these for my phone, they are unique in my eyes and I don't think you would find something like this anywhere on the high street.

Overall I find the designs and characters fun and inviting but also edgy, as I have said countless times they are totally unique to the person that designed them and utterly adorable. It is clear that a lot of time and thought went into the creation of these characters and I feel each one of them shine in their own way.

Rating: - 10/10!!!
