Arran Aromatics - Honey & Oatmeal Massage Soap Review

Hello Minna-san! Today I have a review on a brand which is close to home, Arran Aromatics! I have been trying to find a soap that will suit my skin for ages because of my eczema, since i've been sick to death of using Simple products.

First of all this soap is massive, its such a big block of product so it will last months of use, not only as a shower bar, but also as a hand soap. The soap itself smells so much like an earthy-honey type of smell with infusions of oatmeal, it's such a rich, comforting smell which relaxes you. All of the massage soaps from Arran Aromatics are vegetable soaps with added glycerin and essential oils, the soap in particular is infused with almond oil & honey oil.   

I adore this soap, it creates so much lather and the moisture it gives my skin is incredible. As a girl with problem skin I look for a lot of moisturizing qualities in a soap and also the ability for it to be slightly abrasive in order to get rid of dead skin cells, amazingly there are little pieces of oats mixed into the soap bar which are perfect for removing dead cells and allowing your skin to rejuvenate.

Overall I would highly recommend this soap for anyone who wants to give their skin extra nourishment or if their skin is very dry and irritated.

GEO Princess Mimi Chocolate Brown Circle Lenses Review + Gyaru Make-Up Look

 Konnichiwa Minna-san! Today I have brought you two posts in one ♥ This will be a Gyaru Make-Up Look & a review for my new Circle Lenses from GEO Medical! 

I have never worn contact lenses before in my life, and I have been lusting after these beauties for at least 5 months because I had no idea if I could get them in my eyes. I finally bit the bullet and bought them a couple of weeks ago and i've been trying them out for a while. 

The ones I have bought are the GEO Medical Princess Mimi (Bambi Series) Circle Lenses in the shade Chocolate Brown, and sooo far... I LOVE THEM! Oh wow, these are so amazing. They fit in perfectly with my hazel/green eyes and they are such a lovely almost natural colour. The full details of these circle lenses are below, but I can honestly say they are such good quality and highly recommended.

Design: 5/5 - They are very natural which is what I was aiming for, the outer black band is really thick in colour, giving a dolly-eyed look.

Comfort: 4/5 - I'm still getting used to them so my vision can go blurry from time to time, but there is no irritation, pain or eye watering.

Enlarging: 5/5 - They enlarge my eyes beautifully, but not too much for them to look creepy and odd. The size of the lens isn't an issue with it going in my eye either, once you have the technique then it becomes a lot easier.

At the same time as photographing my new circle lenses I thought I would do my make-up in a Dolly/Gyaru fashion as that is my signature look ♥ 

I used a matte brown eye shadow and placed it in the crease, and then gradually pulling it up a little further above the crease. I then winged it out more than I usually would, into a point. I darkened the brown with a off black/brown colour in the outer corners and the crease as well to give the look a bit more dimension. 

I then used a champagne coloured eye shadow on the lids and a white eye shadow on the inner corners. I lined my eye lashes with my Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Liner in Perversion and done a slight cat eye ( I have a tutorial for Cat eye liner, which I will link below). I applied my Estee Lauder mascara and Bourjois Accent Eye lashes on the outer corners. 

Under my eyes I used a matte nude eye shadow & a white eye shadow to create a brightening effect, and I lined my waterline with white eye liner as well. I applied bottom eye lashes and filled in between my lashes with a taupe brown shade to make sure they mix well with the false eye lashes.   

For my face I used my Skin79 Prestige BB Cream & my Lancome concealer, I then applied my Estee Lauder blush & highlight. 

For the lips I done a slight ombre/ulzzang look using a pale pink lip colour, a red lip colour and a frosted pink lip balm & the tutorial for that will also be linked below ♥

Step-By-Step Liquid Eyeliner Makeup Look - The Cat Eye!

 Konnichiwa Minna-san! I thought I would create a sort of step-by-step tutorial for liquid eyeliner, for those who find it awkward or a little intimidating. I will also be including a variety of liquid eyeliners that I recommend as well! 

1. Start from the center of the eye to estimate the thickness of the eyeliner band that you are looking for.   

2. Draw a steadily thinner line on the inner corner and do this in short flicks, instead of drawing the line all at once. This will reduce the chances of messing the line up.

3. Draw a line out to the outer corner of the eye and extend it into a sharp line as far as you want. This will be how far your cat eye will reach. Connect the line with another shorter line from the bottom outer corner of the eye. This will create a outline of a triangle with a blank spot in the middle.

4. Fill in the triangle and proceed to fix any mistakes or thicken the line more if you wish. After all this is only a small guide, after which you can play around with all types of styles and thicknesses.  

5. That's you finished! It can be hard to get used too, but after a while it will seem like second nature. 

Some people will find different applicators more easier to use than others, for people who are starting out I would recommend a sponge-tip as it can give you more control over your movements. However it mostly makes your lines quite thick, which can be an issue. Gel liner is very useful as a stepping stone between pencil and liquid liners, as the formula is a bit stiffer and easier to control. I personally find a thin hair-like applicator much easier as you can get the flicks very thin and precise.

Skin79 Diamond Collection - The Prestige BB Cream Review

Konbanwan Minna-san! Today I have a Korean beauty product review of the brand Skin79. I have been using this brand for a while now because their BB Creams are to die for!!! They are so amazing and moisturizing on my dry skin. This is the Prestige BB Cream which I have heard some pretty good things about, so I was excited to try this. 

First of all the packaging is far larger than any of the previous types of BB Cream that Skin79 has offered, the bottle is a lot prettier and the soft pink colour is so cute. The only con of this packaging is the that it can be really hard to fit in your makeup bag.

The change is fantastic in my opinion, the formula is smooth and creamy which is exactly what you want from a BB Cream. This I would assume will be mostly for pale girls as there isn't different shades for different skin tones, the cream is an ivory/grey colour which will gradually merge with your own skin tone. For me this works wonders as it makes my skin look smoother, more even and at the same time it feels moisturized. It lightens my skin vividly as well and I'm definitely not complaining, I feel that my skin looks much healthier with this as a face product. I believe this product can be bought on EBay & Amazon as Yesstyle is no longer stocking it. 

Overall: 10/10!!! - I am super pleased with my purchase and I will buy this again when my one runs out. This is definitely a core makeup product for my collection.

Ulzzang Lip Make-Up Look (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

Hello Minna-san! ✿ 
Ulzzang is a term in Korean for "Best Face" or something to that description, it basically highlights those of above average appearance. People with this style/look usually use the same make-up looks, almost to the point that the term Ulzzang has became a make-up look in it's self. 

Today I have chosen to do the Ulzzang lip look for all of you as it's fun, easy and practically anyone will have the products for it!

The bases of an Ulzzang lip look is to have a stained inner lip which will fade out to a pale outer lip. For me I have chosen a fuchsia pink as my stain and a lip balm as my pale outer colour, 

The key is to be gentle and gradually add the stain on the inner portion of your lips, this will give them an almost bitten look which is what you're going for. 

Afterwards you add a pale lip colour which compliments your stain, in my case it was a pearl shine lip balm from Nivea. 

Around the edges of your lips you can add a very light concealer to draw attention to the cupids bow at the top of your lips, or even a liquid highlighter.

Blue Pastel Dolly/Lolita Eyed Make-Up Look

Today I have a make-up look for you inspired by Lolita and Dolly style make-up and clothing. This look is simple, quick and colourful making it the ideal spring dolly look. 

I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance and then applied a nude eye shadow colour, the same shade as my eyelid all the way up to the eye crease. After this I applied a pastel blue eye shadow colour on the outer corners and blended this with the nude colour to blur out the edges and make the who look smooth. 

After this I applied a white colour above the blue as a form of highlight due to how pale I am, and then proceeded with eyeliner. I used my Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Liner in Perversion as it is the blackest eyeliner that I've ever used. I then applied mascara and false lashes from Eyelure. For my water line I applied Make-Up Revolution's Eye Brightener mixed with white eyeliner from MUA. 

For my face I applied Skin79 VIP Gold BB Cream and Estee Lauder in Peach Passion. My highlight is from MUA and my lip colour is Lime Crime Velvetine - Suedeberry mixed with Hawaiian Tropic lip gloss - Island Berry. 

I hope you all like this look I created and there will be many more in the future as well.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara (Sample Preview From Elle Magazine) Review.

 Konnichiwa Minna-san! This is the much anticipated Benefit Roller Lash Mascara review, I have been very very excited to try out this little promotion from Benefit & Elle magazine. 

Earlier this month Benefit revealed that they would be giving away small samples of their new mascara in the March edition of Elle magazine as a promotion of the product. Immediately I was interested as I have tried a few of the Benefit mascaras previous such as the "They're Real"  mascara from a year or two ago. 

The sample is so cute and small, about the same size as any standard sample of mascara. The packaging isn't exactly the same as the mascara that will be coming out next month, it's a but more simpler done as the full sized version will have a hair roller as the tube lid. 

I love the brush, I am a huge fan of plastic brushes without bristles because I prefer a more clean look rather than full with a lot of volume.


I personally really like this mascara in comparison to the other Benefit mascaras that i've had in the past. The lift and length it gives my eyelashes is very noticeable, but the lashes are also very spaced apart as well due to the way the brush and the bottle near enough eliminate clumps.

The after picture to the left shows one coat of the mascara, this could easily be buildable to create the lash look that you desire, but for me this is basically perfect. 

I would recommend using a eyelash curler with this mascara to get the full effect of the product. 

Overall I would say this is a win for me, and that is something I don't usually say about a Benefit product. The formula is good, the packaging (even the sample packaging) is good and the brush is ideal for me.

There is still a possibility that you can buy this in the March issue of Elle if it hasn't sold out in your local store.
